Ares Management Corporation (Ares) recently announced the appointment of Sebastien Burdel and Luca Salvato as partners to its Ares Secondary Solutions Group, according to a Business Wire press release.
The two will work out of offices in London and New York, focusing on expanding Ares' investment opportunities and leveraging the company's established footprint in North America and Europe, the release stated.
Clement Beaudin, a former Spring Bridge Partners employee, will lead Ares' Secondary Solutions as Principal.
"We are pleased to welcome Sebastien, Luca and Clement, who collectively bring deep experience in utilizing bespoke and customized liquidity solutions across both limited partner and general partner transaction types,” Francisco Borges, partner and co-head of Ares’ Secondary Solutions Group stated in the release. “We have known them for many years, and they are highly-regarded professionals in our asset class with demonstrated direct origination capabilities and a unique understanding of global market dynamics."
Their substantial experience, relationships and shared values "complement our longstanding, experienced Ares Secondary Solutions team as we continue to expand our global platform,” Borges added.
Burdel and Salvato, are also co-founders of Spring Bridge Partners, an investment company they launched in 2017 to focus on private equity secondary market transactions, the release stated.
“In founding Spring Bridge four years ago, Luca and I saw the remarkable potential for secondary market growth and an opportunity to build a great business through strong networks and a specialized investment focus," Burdel said in the release.
Beaudin also worked with Burdel and Salvato at Spring Bridge Partners beginning in 2019, having previously served as an investment manager at Coller Capital since 2015.
Ares is a worldwide alternative asset manager that provides customers with complementary primary and secondary investment options, the release stated.
