A California-based supply chain solutions company's deal to acquire LiveSource will give customers access to extensive logistics execution technology, a recent news release said.
Workers at Atlanta-based LiveSource, which since 2000 has provided supply chain portal assistance to manufacturers, have been considered a part of Blume Global's team since the new year, according to Blume Global's Jan. 4 news release. The deal is expected to expand sourcing, procurement and quality capabilities for logistics execution technology.
"I am excited about the future of our technology in the hands of Blume Global, one of the leading providers of supply chain execution and visibility solutions out there today," LiveSource CEO Bo Hagler said. "I've known CEO Pervinder Johar for many years, and I am invested in his vision for the future of the global supply chain."
Blume Global, based in Pleasanton, California, plans to incorporate newly acquired LiveSource's subsidiaries in Switzerland and France, according to the company's news release. LiveSource's U.S. and European operations will maintain their International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 certification and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliancy. Besides Atlanta, LiveSource also maintains offices in Paris, Geneva and Shanghai.
LiveSource CEO Hagler will join Blume Global's management team and report directly to Johar, the news release said.
"Manufacturers manage an extraordinary amount of supplier sourcing and procurement data, as well as quality management information, that is typically in disparate systems," Hagler said. "LiveSource solutions normalize this information by leveraging data lake technology, standardizing the data into actionable intelligence."
With offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia, Blume Global provides sourcing and procurement orchestration technology, among other solutions, to the automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors.
Blume's focus historically has been on supply chain orchestration, Johar said in the news release.
"The acquisition of LiveSource complements Blume’s logistics orchestration and visibility with LiveSource's sourcing and procurement orchestration and visibility," Johar, a former LiveSource board member, said. "Acquiring LiveSource also complements Blume's strong North American and Asian presence with a strong presence in Europe, which includes a wholly owned subsidiary, and veteran industry leadership."
