Keller Williams has been expanding its real estate franchise around the globe and recently announced that it will be adding a master franchise in São Paulo, Brazil, which will be operational in the first quarter of 2022.

According to a release, Keller Williams Worldwide is the largest real estate technology franchise in the world, based on agent count. It has more than 14,708 agents outside the U.S. and Canada, which is up 22.7% over the same period in 2020. As of Dec. 1, Keller Williams Worldwide had 285 market centers across 50 regions, not including U.S. and Canada.

“In the midst of a rapidly shifting global market due to COVID-19, our global regions continue to make monumental gains and our pipeline of new regions continues to be robust,” William Soteroff, president of Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), said. Keller Williams Worldwide is the international division of KWX, the holding company of KW.

The release said that agents closed 56,595 transactions in the year to date, which is up 59.4% over the same period last year. Agents also closed $10.8 billion in sales volume during that time period, up 94.5%.

Soteroff said that across South America there are 17 market centers and nearly 1,000 agents in seven regions. The newest region in São Paulo is being led by Jose Roberto Saldanha Federighi, who is the regional operating principal. It is expected to open its first market center in the region in São Paulo.

“We are excited now to announce our eighth region in South America and welcome Jose Federighi of São Paulo, Brazil, along with his amazing leaders and core group to our worldwide family,” Soteroff said. The company's global vision includes establishing a presence in Africa, Central and South America, Central and Eastern Europe and throughout Asia.

Federighi has served in the Brazilian real estate sector since 1986 in a variety of leadership roles. He was also the CEO for Brazil Brokers São Paulo for eight years and served on the Board of Brasil Brokers for two years. He said with Keller Williams it is an “opportunity to change the market.”

“There is no company that focuses on agents like Keller Williams,” said Federighi. “KW puts the focus on agents and develops brilliant training, models, systems and technology. When you develop training and technology for agents, you change the ecosystem. In Brazil, no other real estate company is doing this.”
