Sims Lifecycle Services, a company dedicated to providing viable circular technologies across the globe, has established a new circular center in Ireland. The new base is located in Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, and this location is joined by a newly established Mexico agency, a press release said.

In the company’s 20 years of business, it has established centers all through Asia, North America, Australia, Europe and India. Ireland is among the fastest growing data center hubs in Europe, joined by the likes of Dublin, Frankfurt and Paris.

Sean Magann, chief commercial officer for SLS, said, "I am pleased to add another circular center to our network of owned and operated sites. It has never been more critical for SLS to align our physical locations to be in close proximity to clients. Being local allows us to cut down on miles traveled (reducing carbon), as well as provide more prompt and faster service."

The goal of the expansion, according to a news release, is to increase the use of both cloud and carbon recycling. One of Sims' solutions is disposition management of old electronics, assets and materials.

According to the company's mission statement, “Sims Lifecycle Services (SLS) plays a critical role in helping businesses and data centers manage the profound shift in how and where technology is managed.”

Considering itself a worldwide leader in IT asset and cloud infrastructure reuse, redeployment and recycling, SLS provides IT asset disposition (ITAD) and e-waste recycling solutions for the benefit of businesses. "Our data center division plays a hands-on role in decommissioning servers and blades, bulk hard drive destruction and repurposing data center equipment," according to the statement.
