'Most compelling' betting experience: FanDuel expands partnership with Genius Sports

FanDuel announced that it will be expanding its agreement and partnership with Genius Sports to offer Official NFL Data Content and Fan Engagement Solutions. 

“We are delighted to partner with FanDuel to help them create the most compelling and contextual sports betting experience possible," Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, said in a recent press release. "With official data at its heart, this partnership enables FanDuel to better engage and monetize its customer base at every step of their journey. We couldn’t be more proud to be expanding our relationship with a clear giant of U.S. sports betting in a way that entirely validates our long-held strategic vision.”

FanDuel was selected this past April as one of the National Football League's official partners for sports betting. Genius Sports also reached an agreement with the league to be the exclusive live-streaming partner for the NFL in addition to being a distributor of live in-game statistics. 

Now, FanDuel will have access to proprietary Next Gen Stats data and other data provided by Genius Sports. These features will be integrated into the FanDuel platform and allow users increased insight for making bets, improving the experience, the press release said.

“We are always looking for ways to improve our product, and the data opportunities gained via this agreement help FanDuel achieve that objective," Niall Connell, general manager of FanDuel Group, said. "The new suite of offerings, including official NFL data, will enable us to better serve our customers and enhance America’s No. 1 Sportsbook.”

Fans can look forward to thousands of additional live events covering multiple sports and trading. According to the press release, Genius Sports is used in over 150 countries worldwide, empowering sports to capture, manage and distribute their live data and video, driving their digital transformation and enhancing relationships with fans.
