Dallas-based Sekisui Specialty Chemicals announced recently that many of its products will see an increase in prices, particularly its Selvol brands.
The global provider of various chemicals will see the new pricing go into effect on Dec. 1, or as contract agreements allow, according to a press release. Sekisui's main products, which include Selvol® Polyvinyl Alcohol, Selvol Ultiloc®, Selvol Ultalux® and Selvol Premiol®, will be most effected.
In North America, the price of Selvol products will increase from its current cost of $550 per metric ton, the press release said.
Selvol is a line of high-performance polyvinyl alcohol polymers and copolymers that can be used in paper, adhesive, packaging, construction, personal care and many other specialty formulations. Sekisui is also a provider of Durastream CPVC compounds and resins, Advancell expandable microspheres and S-LEC BK polyvinyl acetal resins.
