Redbox has signed a content deal with Fremantle that will add new free channels beginning Dec. 1 to the Redbox streaming service.

The new deal will allow Redbox's streaming service to broadcast Free Ad Supported Television (FAST) channels including BUZZR, The Price Is Right: The Barker Era and the Baywatch channel, according to a press release.

“Our partnership with Fremantle will add tremendous value to our free streaming service,” Chris Yates, general manager of Redbox On Demand, said in the press release. “These iconic TV shows anchor our latest FAST channels, and our customers will soon enjoy even more entertainment from Redbox. We couldn’t be more excited to add them to the platform.”

The BUZZR channel features 40,000 classic game show episodes 24 hours a day for titles including "Match Game," "Family Feud," "Password," "Card Shark," "To Tell the Truth," "Press Your Luck," "Whew!" According to the press release, The Price Is Right: The Barker Era channel will air episodes that have not been on TV since the original air date in the 80s. The Baywatch channel will include the original "Baywatch" series, the new season and "Baywatch: Hawaii," the release said.

In the past year, Redbox has accelerated its ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) streaming service that includes TV shows and thousands of films. Redbox has also been working to develop more than 120 FAST channels, the release said.

The Redbox app is available on all major platforms, SmartTvs, gaming platforms, the internet, as well as Apple and Android devices.
