National fitness franchise Retro Fitness is adding yoga and meditation tools to its mobile app and website with the cooperation of internationally-known yogi Sadhguru.

The weekly episodes began showing up on the company's mobile app and website at the beginning of October, according to a company press release. The episodes are meant to provide "simple yet powerful" tools for users to engage in yoga and meditation.

"We recognize that this last year has been challenging for the mental and physical wellbeing of our nation. In our effort as a globally recognized health and fitness brand, we have expanded our brand halo to incorporate additional guidance and support to our members," Andrew Alfano, CEO of Retro Fitness, said in the release.

Through its app, Retro Fitness also offers a weekly cooking segment by Culinary Institute of America alumna chef Elizabeth Makos, the release states. In addition, the Cobra Membership program brings at-home and in-gym fitness together in a single membership

Alfano was quoted as saying that its current offerings will be bolstered by "Sadhguru's content and tools to bring about mental clarity, balance as well as support for physical health and wellbeing."

In addition to practical instruction, the episodes featuring Sadhguru will include content related to his insights and wisdom, the release states.
