Inteliquent, the nation's largest independent voice communications provider, has gone global by extending its reach into the international numbering service.
The Chicago-based company announced in a news release last week that it now offers international phone numbers and enhanced calling services in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Mexico. The extended reach allows global enterprises and communication service providers, where available, to expand their own in-country presence by adding international telephone numbers and toll-free numbers for inbound and 2-way calling. Providers also can add emergency services.
The extended reach follows Inteliquent's announcement in February of its acquisition by Sinch AB, a global mobile customer engagement cloud communications provider, as part of a more than $1.1 billion total cash consideration deal. By then, Inteliquent had already built a solid go-to-market strategy partnering with category leaders in every communications sector, including cloud communications, collaboration, unified communications, contact centers and major U.S. carriers.
"Inteliquent is one of the top service providers in the United States, and Sinch is a global leader in cloud communications — our customers and service offerings mesh perfectly," Inteliquent Product and Enhanced Communications Vice President Nick Reifschneider said in the company's Thursday, Sept. 23, news release. "Inteliquent has the potential to enrich the company’s product portfolio with the addition of international services, including its CPaaS offering."
With reliability is a major selling point for Inteliquent and its tier 1 all-IP network over layered redundancy connected to a suite of powerful APIs and a self-service portal, its 12,200 on-net rate centers and network reaches more than 93% of the U.S., according to the news release. That same level of service and support will now be provided to international numbers and enhanced calling services.
"Our goal with Inteliquent has always been to provide a simple-to-consume and complete solution to our customers and remain a trusted partner,” Reifschneider said. "Inteliquent's international expansion represents a significant step forward. When purchasing international services, our customers can utilize the same portal and APIs they currently use, plus they can always count on us to provide fully regulatory-complaint services, so our customers won’t miss a step with their business-critical communications."
Inteliquent recently reached 110 million numbers in service, carrying over 300 billion minutes of traffic annually and has plans to offer services in more than 50 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America during the next 18 months
