San Diego-based SwabTek has created a partnership with eight new companies to allow for further international expansion of SwabTek testing.
SwabTek is used and distributed worldwide in 30 countries, and the additions will allow for an even more robust distribution network, a press release from SwabTek said.
"Since SwabTek's tests are based on dry reagents and natural solvents, they are not subject to any dangerous goods or hazardous materials regulations, restrictions or tariffs that typically impede the international transport of presumptive testing technology,” according to the release.
The expansion comes from international demand for threat detection technology that is easily transportable, affordable and simple to use, the release said.
Companies that will be using SwabTek include Alcotech Ltd. in Singapore, Integrated Security Solutions of Latin America and the Caribbean, Ray International in Korea, Integrated Scientific Solutions of United Arab Emirates, Propinsa of Latin America and the Caribbean, Rampart Corporation of Canada, SDS Ltd. in the United Kingdom and VISIOM in France, the press release said.
SwabTek's full line of narcotics test kits test for an array of substances, including cannabis, amphetamines, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, THC and nicotine, the release said. The kits are available to educators and law enforcement agencies.
