Fragrance subscription company Scentbird will soon expand into the Canadian market.
“We've enabled our U.S. members to integrate fragrance into their everyday lives for seven years, and over that time we've had thousands of requests from Canadians,” Scentbird CEO Mariya Nurislamova said in a news release. “We're so happy to be able to bring those same benefits to our northern neighbors.”
The brand extension will allow Canadian customers to join a $20 subscription a month to engage with fragrances from over 700 designers and niches, the release said. In addition to the subscription offering, the New York-based company will also begin offering Canadian fragrance brands through future partnerships with brands in the region.
The idea for the expansion, led by Steven Rivera, Scentbird's vice president of customer experience and general manager of international, derived from increasing demand for online availability of varied fragrances, the release said. The system, already established in the U.S., will now be offered to Canadian customers.
The extension also follows the launch of Scentbird's eco-conscious fragrance line Sanctuary, as well as Confessions of a Rebel. The company, celebrating its certification as a Great Place to Work for employees in June, plans to continue expanding across the globe, the release said.
"The Canadian launch is just the start of our international expansion, and we're advancing our plans to launch in other countries as part of our role as the premier destination for fragrance discovery,” Rivera said. “Our focus is always providing affordable value for luxury fragrances, in every country we can."
