EPAM Systems, Inc. a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services, is expanding its global footprint within the Latin American region.
Through this expansion, EPAM has acquired Colombia-based S4N, a software development firm.
"The acquisition of S4N enables our continued progress in building a more agile, diverse and global delivery organization" Victor Dvorkin, EPAM senior vice president and head of global delivery, said in a release on PR Newswire. "With the addition of hundreds of talented engineers in key LATAM locations, we can deliver enhanced and truly multidisciplinary engagements to our customers in the Americas and around the world."
In the release, the Newton, Pennsylvania-based EPAM said the expansion brings "new career opportunities for local IT professionals and enhanced delivery centers for new and existing clients." The S4N acquisition strengthens the expansion, the company said.
"In S4N, we've found a team that shares our Engineering DNA and our passion for building advanced solutions that deliver true business value for our customers" Hugo Gómez, vice president of Latin America at EPAM, said in the release. "We look forward to collaborating on new and innovative customer programs, and we are confident that together we will build EPAM into a LATAM leader in advanced digital services."
S4N executives were also pleased with the move.
"We're pleased to join forces with EPAM — as they very much share our company culture and values," Octavio Echeverri, CEO of S4N, said in the release. "We see this as a new, exciting stage of evolution for our organization, and together, we'll have the ability to serve our clients even better, offer exciting new opportunities for our people, and bringing more of the best talent in LATAM to serve EPAM's customers around the globe."
S4N specializes in modern software products and enterprise platforms.
EPAM is also present in Mexico. With the expansion into Colombia, it will employ over 1,500 IT professionals in Latin America with plans to add several thousand more. The move into Latin America will help EPAM better serve its global client base, according to the company.
