With rapidly increasing fears over cyberattacks spreading across the globe, cybersecurity firm Skybox Security is likewise expanding its international reach, the company announced in a press release.

The announcement came late last month after the company announced an 86% increase in new subscription customers during the first half of the year, with a noticeable growth in government agencies, manufacturing and financial services, according to the release. Skybox is rapidly expanding throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific and Japan, the release stated.

"Business and government leaders globally are leaning into the importance of proactively addressing cyber risk to prevent ransomware and supply chain attacks," Gidi Cohen, Skybox Security Founder and CEO, said in the press release. "Vulnerability management is now taking center stage even at the top levels of government, as highlighted by the recent order from President Biden."

Cohen said the importance of cybersecurity protection is more than just to prevent ransom demands to reverse an online attack, but also to protect the daily lives of average citizens.

"Cybersecurity is now impacting the daily lives and safety of global citizens — even putting our water, food and energy supplies at risk," Cohen said.

Customer satisfaction is turning more people to Skybox, with most product sales in the first half of the year coming from existing customers who are expanding their protections, according to a press release from the company.

"With Skybox Security, CISOs (Chief Information Security Officers) can confidently prove they closed the most dangerous exposed vulnerabilities, ultimately preserving cyberattacks from damaging the business," Shantanu Srivastava, vice president of sales, said in the release. "Skybox models each customers' unique threat landscape to understand how they could get breached. The best breach is one that never happens. Our preventative approach exponentially decreases cyber risk through drastically reducing the enterprise attack surface."

Skybox provides computer and network security to many high-profile government and Fortune 100 customers. In the first half of 2021, Skybox's global sales grew by 35%, according to the release.
