Rumbold sees role as Relo Metrics' European head of sales a ‘once-in-a-career opportunity’

Timon Rumbold has been named the European head of sales for Al-powered sponsorship analytics company Relo Metrics.

In the position, Rumbold will assist sports marketers in Europe retain and grow revenue by giving them access to tools that can measure and optimize their sponsorship investments, according to a press release.

“I'm excited to bring aboard Timon to our European arm as we look to expand our market share in Europe in the same manner we have achieved success across North America,” Relo Metrics CEO Brian Kim said in the release.

Rumbold previously led the enterprise software sales division of Perceptyx, an employee analytics platform. He has also worked for payroll software provider ADP, where he grew new business sales for HCM solutions.

“His experience in emerging tech solutions and selling to large advertisers place us in a strong position to continue educating this region's leading sports marketers on how the right software tools can help them run their business more efficiently,” Kim said. “His innovative approach chimes well with Relo Metrics' positioning as an industry disrupter.”

Rumbold has experience working with cloud-based and SaaS solutions for more than two decades.

“Throughout my career, I've always stood on the forefront of disruptive tech – so Relo Metrics' challenger mindset instantly stood out to me,” Rumbold said in the release. “This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to get behind the wheel of a company on the cusp of major international growth.”

Relo Metrics is based out of Santa Monica, California, according to the press release. In addition to Santa Monica, Relo Metrics has offices in Chicago, New York and London.

Relo Metrics recently separated from its parent company, GumGum, and is reportedly overhauling its brand for “flexibility for strategic investment and growth,” the release said.
