AIT Worldwide Logistics, a global supply chain solutions provider, has relocated its Milan team to a larger facility within Lainate, a municipality of Milan.

"As AIT continues to grow, the move to a larger, more contemporary space with the capacity to support scaled-up operations was a must," AIT-Milan Branch Manager Federico Vincinelli said in a release."We're happy to have found a new home that not only fits our requirements, but is also close to our previous space."

The new space is three times larger than the Milan team's previous location and boasts improved internet, private security and a modern floor plan, AIT said in the release.

"As AIT continues to execute on our strategic plans for growth around the world, enlarging and upgrading our space in Milan not only enables that expansion, it also underlines our commitment to this important market," Michael Völlnagel, AIT VP for Europe, said in the release.

The new and improved space is in the same customs district as the previous office, but closer to European Route 62, with quicker access to Milan's three international airports, the company said.

AIT-Milan has a reputation for flexible service, supporting customers in the manufacturing, fashion, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, Völlnagel said.

The Milan team was added to AIT's global network in Dec. 2020 through the acquisition of Fiege Forwarding from the FIEGE Group, AIT said in the release.

With over 85 locations across the globe, AIT-Milan offers a full suite of logistics services, including but not limited to purchase order management, in-house customs clearance, temperature-sensitive shipment expertise and bonded warehouse management services, the company said.

"AIT Worldwide Logistics helps companies grow by expanding access to markets all over the world, where they can sell and procure their raw materials, components and finished goods," the company said. "Backed by scalable, user-friendly technology, AIT's flexible business model delivers precisely tailored supply chain solutions for sea, air and ground freight -- on time and on budget."
