PCM Trials has expanded into the United Kingdom by opening an office in London, providing biopharma companies and contract research organizations conducting trials in Europe with more Certified Mobile Research Nurses (CMRNs) who specialize in decentralized clinical trials, according to a company press release.

PCM Trials released the news about its expansion on June 20.

"Europe represents an important center of clinical research, which is why we opened an office in the United Kingdom," Greg Austin, president of PCM Trials' parent company Professional Case Management, said in the release. "This office allows us to be more responsive to the needs of our research partners throughout Europe."

Austin said that the new office in England was just the first of many steps the company is taking in order to meet the demands of the growing global nature of clinical trials. He also said that PCM Trials' direct-to-patient clinical research visits help expand the scope of clinical trials, even when not in the midst of a global health crisis.

"CMRNs effectively reach a more diverse participant population, including rural and minority patients," in order to help research partners get more accurate results that can be applied to a broader patient scope, Austin said in the release.

According to the company's website, PCM Trials started from humble beginnings in Denver and has grown to become an industry leader for mobile clinical trials. Its self-proclaimed "unique approach" of delivering drug trial protocols anytime, anywhere has proved to be a "valuable asset" to researchers and sponsors, the website said.
