The World Trade Organization (WTO) has released documents related to the latest Trade Policy Review of Thailand. The review includes a report prepared independently by the WTO Secretariat and a policy statement from the Thai government. Both reports were discussed among all WTO members in the Trade Policy Review Body.

Trade Policy Reviews are a regular process mandated by WTO agreements, where member countries’ trade and related policies are examined and evaluated. These reviews also monitor significant developments that could affect the global trading system. All WTO members participate in this process, with the frequency of review depending on each country’s size.

According to the WTO, “Trade Policy Reviews are an exercise, mandated in the WTO agreements, in which member countries’ trade and related policies are examined and evaluated at regular intervals. Significant developments that may have an impact on the global trading system are also monitored. All WTO members are subject to review, with the frequency of review depending on the country’s size.”
