UOB has announced the launch of the UOB FutureGen Scholarship Programme, which will offer scholarships to 90 students from the region to study in Singapore. This initiative aims to support young people's academic development by providing international exposure and educational opportunities.

The programme aligns with UOB's commitment to building ASEAN's future through education, children, and art. Mr. Dean Tong, Head of Group Human Resources at UOB, stated, "We believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and uplift communities. Through the UOB FutureGen Scholarship programme, we seek to develop and nurture these young individuals from across the region by broadening their horizons and providing them with the opportunity to study abroad."

The first batch of scholarships targets students who are citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the People's Republic of China (PRC), born between January 2, 2009, and January 1, 2012. These scholarships will cover education fees and living costs for four years in Singapore schools. Additionally, scholarship holders may be considered for internships with UOB.

This initiative is part of UOB's broader efforts during its 90th anniversary to support education across Southeast Asia. Earlier this year, UOB committed $120 million to benefit over 120,000 students and children from less privileged backgrounds.

Applications for the scholarship programme will be open from May 26 to June 23, 2025. More information is available at go.uob.com/futuregen-scholarship.
