The U.S. Embassy in Colombia has announced that representatives from the Regional Federal Benefits Unit will be visiting several cities in Colombia to provide services related to U.S. Social Security and other federal benefits. The cities included in this visit are Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, and Pereira.

In Medellín, the services will be available at Centro Colombo Americano located at Carrera 45 #53-24. The dates for these services are set from Monday, May 19th to Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.

In Bogotá, the location is Centro Colombo Americano on Calle 98 No. 17-32. Services will be offered from Monday, May 19th to Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Cali residents can access these services at Centro Colombo Americano situated on Calle 13 Norte No. 8-45 in Barrio Granada. The schedule for Cali is also set for Monday through Wednesday during the same hours as Bogotá.

Pereira's services will take place at Centro Colombo Americano on Carrera 6 #23-58, Biblioteca, piso 5. The dates mirror those of Cali and Bogotá.

A limited number of tickets will be distributed daily for individuals wishing to meet with a representative. Attendees are advised to bring original documents along with photocopies for their applications.

Individuals looking to submit their "Foreign Enforcement Questionnaire SSA 7162/7161" form for the year can do so by dropping off completed forms during service hours at any of the designated locations.

For those preparing for their visit:

- The Foreign Enforcement Questionnaire (FEQ) will be accepted for individuals whose Social Security Numbers end with digits ranging from 00 through 49.

- Applicants seeking Social Security Benefits should bring an original and a copy of their birth certificate and U.S. passport.

- Those applying for auxiliary or survivor’s benefits need to provide marriage and death certificates.

- For Social Security Number Card applications, required documents include a birth certificate copy and original U.S. passport along with a completed form SS-5FS.
