Starting May 5, individuals applying for visas will be required to present a DS-160 visa application form at their interviews. This form must include a confirmation barcode number, beginning with "AA," that matches the one used to book the appointment online.

Failure to ensure the barcode number on the DS-160 form matches the booking will result in the applicant being unable to proceed with the interview. An applicant facing such a mismatch must reschedule their appointment through the embassy's website. However, it must be noted that the embassy will not offer expedited appointments, making it important for applicants to verify their information in advance.

The embassy emphasized the importance of double-checking all submitted details before attending the interview. This precaution aims to minimize delays and facilitate a smoother interview process.

"We urge applicants to verify that the barcode on their DS-160 form corresponds with their appointment details," a spokesperson stated. "This alignment is crucial for proceeding with the interview."
