Ambassador-designate Bill White and his husband Bryan Eure arrived in Belgium on November 6. Upon their arrival at Zaventem International Airport, they were welcomed by Ambassador Pascal Heyman from Belgium’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Chief of Mission Kathleen Lively, Defense Attaché Colonel Chris Kreiler, and United States Military Group Chief Colonel Cliff Anderson.
Following the airport reception, Ambassador-designate White visited the U.S. Embassy for the first time. The embassy team greeted him and Mr. Eure at Whitlock Hall, which will serve as their residence during his assignment in Belgium.
Ambassador-designate White expressed enthusiasm for his new responsibilities. "He looks forward to advancing President Donald Trump’s U.S. priorities with Belgium together with the embassy team," according to the statement. "He is grateful for the trust and confidence President Trump has placed in him in this role and excited to strengthen the strong bonds between the United States and Belgium."
