The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced a call for candidates for its 2026 Young Professionals Programme (YPP). This initiative is designed for individuals aged 32 or younger as of January 1, 2026, who come from developing or least-developed WTO member countries that are under-represented at the professional level within the WTO Secretariat. The program provides participants with practical experience in dealing with international trade issues and involvement in the work of the WTO. Successful applicants will be assigned to divisions that match their interests and meet the needs of the organization.
Since its inception in 2016, the Young Professionals Programme has been managed by the WTO's Institute for Training and Technical Co-operation. The program is supported financially through voluntary contributions from members to the WTO Global Trust Fund.
For those interested, full eligibility criteria and an online application form are available.
