The World Trade Organization (WTO) has opened applications for its 2025 Young Trade Leaders Programme, targeting individuals aged 18 to 28 with a keen interest in international trade. This initiative, launched in 2024, aims to bridge the gap between young people and the WTO.
The programme seeks exceptional candidates who can demonstrate a clear understanding of how trade benefits both people and the planet. Participants will have the chance to offer fresh perspectives on the role of trade and the WTO while gaining insights into the organization's operations and contributing to its mission.
Applications are open until May 2, 2025, at 23:59 CET. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews in May, with successful applicants starting on July 1, 2025.
Selected participants will benefit from WTO-organized training courses, advice from the WTO Secretariat, and support for organizing WTO-related activities in their home countries. Although there is no remuneration, participants will travel to Geneva for the 2025 WTO Public Forum in September.
For more details on applying and additional information about the programme, interested individuals are encouraged to consult the information note provided by the WTO.
