BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Microsoft, and MGX have announced that NVIDIA and xAI will join the AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP). This move is expected to strengthen the partnership's focus on investing in AI infrastructure. NVIDIA will continue as a technical advisor, utilizing its expertise in accelerated computing and AI factories.
GE Vernova and NextEra Energy are also collaborating with AIP to enhance energy solutions for AI data centers. GE Vernova aims to assist in supply chain planning and delivering high-efficiency energy solutions.
The AIP has gained significant interest since its launch in September 2024. The partnership aims to unlock $30 billion from investors, which could potentially lead to $100 billion in total investment with debt financing.

Satya Nadella of Microsoft expressed excitement about building future infrastructure alongside new partners.
Larry Fink of BlackRock noted the transformative potential of AI for the global economy, stressing the need for necessary infrastructure. Bayo Ogunlesi of GIP mentioned the importance of private capital in supporting essential infrastructure development for AI.
John Ketchum from NextEra Energy discussed developing energy infrastructure to support AI technology, while Scott Strazik from GE Vernova spoke about meeting demand through diverse energy solutions and innovation.
