The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has announced the call for applications for the 2025-2026 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (Fulbright TEA) Program. This initiative, under the U.S. Department of State, offers scholarships to Bangladeshi secondary-level teachers in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, including special education. The program is designed to provide a six-week professional development opportunity in the United States.

Scheduled to occur in January or September 2026, participants will engage in academic seminars aimed at enhancing teaching methodologies and instructional skills. The program includes a practicum component where participants collaborate with a U.S. partner teacher at a secondary school near their host university. This experience allows them to immerse themselves in the American classroom environment while receiving cultural enrichment and mentorship.

Eligibility criteria require applicants to be full-time secondary-level teachers with at least five years of experience and demonstrated leadership qualities. Applicants must also possess excellent English language skills suitable for postgraduate coursework and reside in Bangladesh as Bangladeshi citizens.

Applications must be submitted by April 5, 2025, through the online portal provided by the Fulbright program. Further inquiries can be directed to DhakaUSExchanges@state.gov.
