Every year, March is designated as Women's History Month in the United States, a time to honor and celebrate the contributions of women. President Donald J. Trump has issued a proclamation recognizing March 2025 as Women’s History Month.
"Every day, without fame or fanfare, women inspire, support, and strengthen their families, communities, and our country," stated President Trump. He emphasized the significance of celebrating the impact women have on the nation.
The First Lady and President Trump paid tribute to American women from various generations and backgrounds who have played a crucial role in shaping the country's prosperity. The president expressed pride in acknowledging female leaders within his administration. "They are leaders in business, experts in foreign and domestic policy, authorities in national security," he said.
President Trump outlined measures taken by his administration to protect women's rights. "No longer will our Government promote radical ideologies that replace women with men in spaces and opportunities designed for women," he declared.
He highlighted an executive order signed on his first day in office recognizing biological differences between men and women. As part of this initiative, government forms will no longer include an “X” gender marker option; passports will be issued based solely on biological sex at birth.
Additionally, President Trump addressed steps taken to protect women's sports through another executive order directing Title IX actions against institutions not upholding fair competition standards for female athletes. According to him: "By recognizing there are only two sexes... my Administration is empowering women every day."
In conclusion, President Trump urged Americans: "I call on all Americans to celebrate the exceptional women in their lives and around our country."
The proclamation was signed on March 6th by President Donald J. Trump.
