The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit has announced an Airline Crew Visa Reissuance Program (AIRVRP) designed to facilitate expedited appointments and potentially waive interviews for specific C1/D visa applicants. This program targets Philippine passport holders who are residents of the Philippines and meet certain criteria.
To qualify, applicants must have been previously issued a 5-year validity C1/D visa under the same name, date of birth, and gender. The application must be submitted within twelve months of the previous visa's expiration date, with the most recent adjudication resulting in an issuance. Additionally, applicants should be regular employees of an airline that is part of the Priority Interview Program (PIP).
The booking procedures require PIP companies to utilize the Interview Waiver process. Upon securing an appointment, a representative from the PIP airline company is responsible for submitting various documents to the U.S. Embassy on the scheduled date. These documents include a confirmation page of the DS-160 form, a valid passport with at least six months beyond intended stay in the U.S., the passport containing the most recently issued C1/D visa, two unretouched photographs, and a guarantee letter from the applicant’s airline company.
Furthermore, it is mandatory for airline companies to ensure that their authorized representatives submit applications alongside two copies of a manifest listing all applicants. This manifest must contain details such as appointment date and time, applicant’s name, date of birth, passport number, and expiration date of their most recently expired visa.
