Secretary Hegseth reiterated "the ironclad U.S. commitment to the 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty" and emphasized its significance for maintaining security and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. He also committed to maintaining close coordination with Secretary Teodoro.
