According to Department of Defense Spokesman John Ullyot, both leaders agreed to enhance cooperation between U.S. military forces and Panama's security forces. They also emphasized the growing collaboration involving the United States, including the Department of Defense, and the Panama Canal Authority.
President Mulino expressed his welcome for a future visit by Secretary Hegseth to Panama. This visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and ensure joint defense efforts regarding the Canal against external threats.
