The U.S. Embassy in Manila has announced details for an upcoming remote services event in Dumaguete, scheduled for February 12, 2025. The event will take place at Hotel Essencia on Real Street and will feature representatives from the American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit, the U.S. Veterans Administration (VA), and the Social Security Administration (SSA).

The schedule for the day includes sign-up beginning at 7:30 a.m., with ACS and SSA services available from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and VA services running until 4:00 p.m. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Attendees should bring originals and photocopies of all required documents. Passport applicants need to have a passport photograph that meets specified requirements. It is noted that embassy personnel cannot provide printing, copy, or photography services at the venue.

Participants are also asked to complete a survey regarding expected attendance and needed services via a link provided by the embassy.

Services offered by ACS include notarial services, acceptance of Consular Report of Birth Abroad applications, and U.S. passport applications. Specific guidelines are provided for passport renewals which can often be submitted by mail unless they fall under certain categories requiring in-person application.

Payment for ACS services must be made in Philippine pesos with exact change only. Fees vary depending on the service requested.
