Secretary of State Marco Rubio held discussions with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Washington, D.C. The meeting focused on reinforcing the partnership between the United States and India.
Both officials discussed a variety of topics, emphasizing regional issues and potential areas to enhance the U.S.-India relationship. Key points included cooperation on critical and emerging technologies, defense, energy, and promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
"Secretary Rubio also emphasized the Trump Administration’s desire to work with India to advance economic ties and address concerns related to irregular migration," stated Spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen their strategic partnership further.
