Employees from the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw attended an American Football League game last Sunday, watching the Warsaw Mets face off against the Lodz Wolves. This event is part of the Embassy's support for the league during the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and the USA. At these games, both Polish and U.S. national anthems are played, with flags presented at midfield.
The partnership with the league is organized through the U.S. Embassy’s Sports UP initiative. This program aims to strengthen ties between Poland and the United States by promoting sports, particularly American sports. It seeks to connect Poles, especially younger generations, to American sports culture and its associated values such as teamwork, responsibility, fitness, and tolerance.
