April 8 marked the second event of the Embassy In Focus: Polish American Speaker Series at the American Center Warsaw. Eben Schwartz, Marine Program Manager of the California Coastal Commission, addressed attendees on topics related to plastic pollution and marine debris. His presentation covered the sources and impact of these environmental issues, as well as efforts such as the Commission’s Clean Up Day, which is recognized as California's largest volunteer initiative for cleaning oceans and shores. Schwartz also discussed various educational programs, initiatives, and state regulations aimed at reducing plastic pollution.

This event was a segment of Mr. Schwartz's U.S. Speaker Program in Poland, during which he engaged with audiences in Warsaw, Gdańsk, and Gdynia.
