U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles, along with aircrew and support personnel from RAF Lakenheath in England, have been deployed to Powidz Air Base in Poland. The deployment is part of exercise Rapid Panther, which began on March 25.
The exercise aims to showcase the 48th Fighter Wing's capability to quickly forward deploy with a limited number of aircraft and personnel for flying training exercises alongside the Polish air force. "Exercises like this sharpen collective readiness, strengthen relationships with NATO allies and partners, and underscore U.S. commitment to regional security," stated the release.
It was emphasized that this exercise is not connected to any real-world events. The U.S. Air Force regularly deploys aircraft and personnel across the European theater to engage in training with NATO allies and partners.
