Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has been recognized with a National Sustainable Development Award by Taiwan's National Council for Sustainable Development, known as the Sustainability Council. The award acknowledges Yuanta FHC's efforts in aligning with international and governmental 2050 net-zero transformation goals. The company has focused on addressing climate change risks, refining sustainable financial products, responsible investment practices, low-carbon operations, and sustainable supply chain management.
The Sustainability Council has organized these awards since 2004 to honor schools, enterprises, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies for their sustainability performance. Yuanta FHC was selected from 162 entries to win in the Enterprise - Non-Manufacturing category.
Yuanta FHC has integrated net-zero transformation into its operations through initiatives like the "Sustainable Development Strategy Roadmap," aligned with the United Nations' sustainable development goals. The company set 52 goals over five years and introduced various sustainability standards and ISO management systems. It also leads in implementing an internal carbon pricing mechanism and IFRS S1 while participating in international initiatives such as the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) and the Partnership for Biodiversity Accounting Financials (PBAF).
This year marks Yuanta FHC's sixth consecutive inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Emerging Markets Indices (DJSI). It has been ranked number one in the DJSI Group of Diversified Financial Services and Capital Markets three times consecutively. Additionally, it made the CDP’s A List for four straight years and achieved Leadership Level ranking for six years.
As part of its commitment to sustainable finance, Yuanta FHC is involved in green procurement initiatives to influence smaller stakeholders positively. It participated in the 2024 Net Zero City Expo to promote green supply chain transformation. Furthermore, Yuanta FHC serves as a convener of the Empowerment and Certification Working Group of the Net-Zero Promotion Working Platform, facilitating collaboration between government and industry to establish a sustainable talent cultivation mechanism.
