Completing a two-year English language program, 240 young Egyptians graduated from the English Access Partnership Program (EAPP) today. The initiative provided students with high-quality English training and opportunities for extracurricular activities.
U.S. Ambassador Stephen Beecroft awarded certificates to the graduates. He stated, “English language skills will be an immense asset to you,” emphasizing that the program also opened doors to new learning experiences, cultures, and employment prospects. "This program has an excellent reputation, and its graduates have an exceptional performance record," he added.
The EAPP is supported by the United States Agency for International Development in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office. AMIDEAST and the American University in Cairo were responsible for organizing classes and activities.
Since 2006, more than 3200 Egyptian youth from less privileged backgrounds have benefited from learning English through this Access program. The Access Program is one among over 30 programs offered by the U.S. Embassy to support learners and teachers of English throughout Egypt.
