U.S. Army Central serves as the Army component of U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for operations across the Middle East and aims to strengthen partnerships within the region.
Lt. Gen. Garrett's initial visit to Egypt occurred in January 2016, where he emphasized the significance of the relationship by stating, “Our partnership with the Egyptian military is incredibly important for the stability of the region.”
