Siemens has introduced a new initiative, Siemens for Startups, aimed at empowering early-stage engineering and manufacturing startups. Unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the program is designed to accelerate innovation and streamline development processes by providing access to Siemens software and hardware at reduced costs.
Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer stated, "Startups are essential to making our customers more competitive, sustainable and resilient. By collaborating with startups, Siemens helps bring breakthrough ideas to industries faster, empowering customers to address global challenges more effectively with cutting-edge technologies, tools and solutions."
The program is structured around three main components: Connect, Collaborate, and Empower. It aims to integrate startup companies into the Siemens Xcelerator marketplace through Connect; engage them as early customers via Collaborate; and offer packaged access to essential software tools under Empower.
In collaboration with AWS's Startup program, Siemens seeks to further enhance innovation capabilities. Jon Jones from AWS commented on this partnership: "Collaborating with Siemens allows us to extend the capabilities of our AWS Startup program to a new generation of innovators in the engineering and manufacturing space."
The integration involves using Siemens' industrial software within AWS’s cloud infrastructure. Qualifying startups will receive AWS credits along with business development resources.
