RBC Wealth Management has announced the promotion of Carla Novak to lead its Pacific Northwest complex. Novak will oversee 10 branch offices, continuing her efforts to drive growth in a key region for the firm.
Novak joined RBC Wealth Management in 2023 as the Tacoma, Washington branch director. She brings 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. "I chose financial services as a career because of my love for theory of economics and people," said Novak. "Being in wealth management allows me to observe and witness economic and behavioral psychology concepts at play. I am excited to inspire and guide our financial advisors to not only reach their personal and professional goals but to extend this empowerment to their clients."
Colin Hawkes, West Divisional Director, expressed his support for Novak's new role: "Carla is dedicated to helping others unlock their capabilities, and ensure that everyone thrives together. I’m thrilled to see her elevated in this new leadership role as she continues to listen to financial advisors, understand their needs and help them and their clients flourish."
Novak began her career in 2006 and moved from UBS to RBC Wealth Management last year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Kean University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has also passed several industry exams including Series 7, 66, 9, 10, and 24.
RBC Wealth Management was founded in 1909 as a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). It provides wealth solutions tailored for high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions across the U.S., with $640 billion in total client assets reported as of October 31, 2024.
