Siemens has been recognized as a leader in the field of IoT digital platforms for building operations. Their platform, Building X, aids customers in digitizing, managing, and optimizing building operations. This platform aims to automate buildings, reduce maintenance costs, lower energy consumption, and improve sustainability, ultimately enhancing the profitability of building portfolios. Building X is part of Siemens Xcelerator, a digital business platform designed to facilitate faster and easier digital transformation for customers.

Rahul Chillar, Executive Vice President of Software at Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings, commented on the achievement: “About 80 percent of total building lifecycle costs are attributed to operations and maintenance. This is why building owners and managers are increasingly looking for cost-effective ways to optimize operations while improving occupant experience.” He expressed satisfaction with Siemens' high ranking in Verdantix's latest Green Quadrant report focused on building operations.

The report offers an in-depth evaluation of twelve leading platform providers and their products. The analysis included a comprehensive 92-point vendor questionnaire, three-hour live briefings and product demonstrations with vendors covering specific usage scenarios. Additionally, customer interviews and secondary research were conducted.
