KfW IPEX-Bank has joined a consortium of five banks to finance the DAH Group's biogas platform. The total financing amounts to EUR 220 million and spans seven years. This funding will support the DAH Group's working capital needs and facilitate its growth strategy.

The DAH Group intends to increase biomethane production and pursue strategic acquisitions. Biomethane is crucial for meeting the EU's climate objectives, as outlined in the REPowerEU plan, which targets an annual production of 35 billion cubic meters by 2030. Biomethane can replace fossil natural gas in various sectors such as industry, buildings, and transport.

As a significant player in Germany's biogas market, the DAH Group operates 23 biogas plants in eastern Germany. Beyond energy, it is also involved in agriculture, aiding in raw material procurement.

Through this financing initiative, KfW IPEX-Bank aims to support sustainable energy transformation and contribute to the circular economy.
