ANZ's Institutional business has retained its top position for relationship quality in Asia for the fourth year in a row, as per the latest Greenwich Associates Large Corporate Banking study. The annual survey also recognized ANZ Institutional as No. 1 for relationship quality in Hong Kong and China and placed it among the Top 5 corporate banks in Asia for market penetration for nine consecutive years.
Farhan Faruqui, ANZ Group Executive International, commented on this achievement: “As we emerge from one of the most challenging years for the global economy, this recognition from our customers around the region is deeply appreciated and a testament to our continued focus on supporting their business needs."
Faruqui highlighted ANZ's network spanning 14 Asian markets as a significant advantage: “Our network connecting 14 Asian markets remains a key differentiator and a competitive advantage, helping our customers with trade and capital flows between our home markets of Australia and New Zealand, and the region.”
The survey involved interviews with over 840 companies having an annual turnover exceeding US$500 million across 13 Asian markets. Greenwich Associates evaluates banks based on overall market penetration and quality index in Asia, excluding Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
Corporate executives participating in the survey assess bank relationship quality through various factors such as ease of doing business, willingness to lend, provision of ideas and advice, along with understanding clients’ international and transaction banking needs.
