The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced the launch of its Young Trade Leaders Programme and is now inviting applications. The initiative aims to identify exceptional young individuals who possess a clear understanding of how trade can benefit both people and the planet. These selected "Young Trade Leaders" will contribute new perspectives and ideas about the role of trade and the WTO, while also gaining insights into the organization's work.

The program is set for one year, with detailed information on the 2024 programme and application procedures available in an information note. The deadline for applications is July 5, 2024, at 23:59 CET. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews in July.

Selected participants will have access to training courses organized by the WTO, receive advice and mentoring from the WTO Secretariat, and gain support for organizing WTO-related activities in their home countries. Although there is no remuneration involved, participants will be invited to Geneva to actively participate in the 2024 WTO Public Forum scheduled for September.

Further details about the programme can be found here.
