Deadline set for proposal submissions for WTO's 2024 Public Forum

The deadline for submitting proposals for the 2024 Public Forum is set for June 14, 2024. All sessions at the forum are organized by civil society, academia, businesses, governments, parliamentarians, and intergovernmental organizations. Participants interested in organizing sessions can find further details in an information note provided by the organizers. The online application form is accessible from this note and must be completed no later than June 14, 2024 (23:59 CET).

The sub-themes of the forum include “Green policies to maximize the benefits of trade,” “Services trade to build progress and enhance welfare,” and “Digitalization as a catalyst for inclusive trade.”

The Public Forum is the World Trade Organization’s largest outreach event. It provides a platform for stakeholders globally to discuss developments in global trade and propose enhancements to the multilateral trading system. The event attracts over 2,000 representatives annually from various sectors including civil society, academia, business, government, international organizations, and media.
