Schneider Electric, a French company based in Massachussetts, has promoted Xavier Biot to the role of vice president, power distribution and digital energy in Canada. The role became effective July 1.

“The market is undergoing transformative change and I am excited to explore and help shape the opportunities our customers will gain by combining connected products, software and services to accelerate their digital experiences and optimize efficiencies across their business,” Biot said, as stated in the release.

In his new role, Biot continues a 25-year tenure during which he held different operational and management positions across Latin America, Belgium and the Pacific.

“I look forward to working with Schneider Electric colleagues, customers and partners to co-create an ecosystem in Canada where electric meets digital and, together, we advance sustainability and innovation in the market,” Biot said.

He most recently served as vice president, secure power for Belgium and Luxembourg, during which he is credited with record local business growth and the development of EcoStruxure IT project for Europe.

Schneider Electric specializes in digital transformation of energy management and automation.

“Schneider Electric’s purpose is to empower all to make the most of our energy and resources, bridging progress and sustainability for everyone, everywhere,” a recent news release states. “Our integrated solutions are built with safety, reliability and cybersecurity for your homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries.
