Nobu Hospitality has opened its first hotel and restaurant in Portugal, a press release reported.

"We are thrilled to be opening our first hotel and restaurant in Portugal, and it is fitting that Lisbon is our first venture into the destination,” Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, said. “With its rich history, vibrant food scene and impressive neoclassical architecture, Lisbon is the ideal destination for our brand. We look forward to bringing the Nobu brand to Lisbon as part of our Portugal growth strategy."

The addition forms part of various global expansion efforts made by the New York-based luxury lifestyle brand founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper.

The development of The Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Lisbon will serve as the first stage of the hotel brand’s operational expansion in Portugal.

“With its distinctive blend of luxury, culinary innovation and immersive guest experiences, Nobu Hospitality continues to redefine the hospitality landscape,” the press release stated.

Located at the center of Lisbon at the popular Avenida da Liberdade, “renowned for its luxury boutiques and distinct 19th-century architecture, offers discerning travelers direct access to the city's upscale retail, five-star restaurants and key cultural landmarks.”

“With its distinctive blend of luxury, culinary innovation and immersive guest experiences, Nobu Hospitality continues to redefine the hospitality landscape,” a recent press release stated.

Based in the district of Baixa, the new office is within walking distance from the popular São Jorge Castle and the neighborhood of Chiado, making it ideal for visitors.
