Asana recently welcomed two new general managers to its executive team, according to a press release.

Ike Tateyama will soon work as general manager of Japan, while Veit Brücker joins as general manager of DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region.

"Asana's commitment to enabling the world's teams to work together effortlessly is something I strongly believe in, and I look forward to leading our growth in this market," Tateyama said. "I am thrilled to be joining the Asana team and to help bring our work management platform to more enterprise companies in Japan."

The appointments are confirmed as the work management platform works to expand its enterprise offerings and expand its presence in the global market.

Under his new role, Tateyama will contribute more than two decades of sales leadership experience. The expert has previously worked for Mitsubishi Electronics, Furukawa Electric, Cisco and DocuSign, among other popular enterprises.

Under his new role as general manager, Tateyama will be tasked with overseeing Asana’s business development and growth strategies in Japan. Before accepting this position, he most recently served as country manager of DocuSign Japan.

He will begin the tenure as Brücker begins fulfilling his duties as general manager of DACH. The executive will contribute more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing leadership experience, which he garnered at Salesforce, Zuora, Snowflake, Siemens and Oracle.

"I am excited to join Asana and to help businesses in this region gain efficiencies and expand their digital transformation efforts," Brücker said. "My role has always been to operate at the intersection of technology, culture and change of business model, and Asana’s mission to enable the world's teams to work together effortlessly aligns closely with this."

In correlation with its expansion efforts, Asana has also relocated its Japan-based team to a new office location in the Marunouchi Park Building in the Marunouchi business district. The company also established an additional center in the region to better fulfill the needs of its customers and grant them greater control over the whereabouts of their data.

Through these expansion initiatives, the company hopes to continue the growth momentum it has experienced in the DACH region over the course of the last 10 years.

"As Asana continues to grow and expand globally, we are excited to welcome these two talented leaders to our team," said Anne Raimondi, head of business and COO at Asana. "Ike and Veit bring tremendous depth of enterprise experience to our leadership team. Their customer and team-centric approaches will continue to engage executives at world-class companies with our business. Their contributions will enable us to continue reaching, serving and scaling with customers globally.”
