Global engineered equipment and automation solutions provider, Duravant LLC recently established Duravant Brazil LTDA in correlation with the majority stake it acquired in BVSP LTDA, a press release reported.
“Brazil is the second largest global market for poultry production, and Duravant’s investment to build a sales and service infrastructure in the region advances our commitment to directly support our global food processing customers,” Duravant’s chief operating officer, emerging markets, Petros Diamantides, said. “Our new entity in Brazil will also leverage Duravant’s portfolio of world-class brands, products and services to expand our local reach into more diverse end markets.”
The new launch in Brazil is Duravant’s first sales and service entity intended to support customers across multiple brands in a single geography.
“We are committed to building long-term partnerships with key accounts and local clients, and investing in a Duravant-backed infrastructure is critical to delivering the highest lifetime value to our customers,” Diamantides said.
Duravant’s slate of products, services and solutions are distributed by 13 operating companies offering engineering, manufacturing and support to customers across the globe. BSVP specializes in aftermarket services for poultry processing lines, and manufactures parts and components for processing machinery.
“It starts with providing the most outstanding service and support to our customers,” said Fabio Figueiredo, Duravant Brazil’s managing director. “The acquisition of BVSP immediately strengthens our ability to offer local spare parts and deploy a technical service and support team with the experience and talent our customers can depend on.”
BVSP currently operates in three sites and hopes to expand its manufacturing abilities in the near future.
“We’re very excited about our new partnership with Duravant,” said Vinicius Cuchiara dos Santos, general manager of BVSP. “Their impressive history of growth and innovation is a reflection of their customer-centric culture, which aligns perfectly with our service philosophy and commitment to the Brazilian market.”
