U.S.-based full-line manufacturer, Hospeco Brands Group (HBG) has acquired Canadian Innocore, a press release reported.
“Innocore is a perfect addition to our offering,” said Tom Friedl, CEO of the Hospeco Brands Group. “The business has been run with a set of core values that starts with ensuring the employees come first, something we feel is the genesis of Innocore’s incredibly positive customer experience. Certainty and Touch Point wiping solutions immediately become jewels in our product offering.”
Under this arrangement, Hospeco Brands Group will continue its marketing efforts for its Hospeco products, while also being able to offer Certainty and Touch Point products in their respective markets. Similarly, Innocore will keep its name and operate as a separate business unit, while also gaining access to Hospeco's product line. The full management team at Innocore will remain intact, now operating under the Hospeco Brands Group umbrella. Customers of both companies can expect to work with the same sales and customer service teams they are already familiar with.
Spanning 82,000 square feet, Innocore’s manufacturing space houses in-house converting, saturating, sealing and packaging operations. The company’s cGMP manufacturing facility produces Health Canada, EPA and FDA-registered wipe products.
“The addition of Innocore to Hospeco Brands Group provides us with a stronger Canadian infrastructure, which in turn allows us to better support our current Canadian distribution partners,” EVP of Hospeco Brands Group, Bill Hemann, said. “As our north-of-the-border distribution shifts to Innocore’s Ontario base, our partners can look forward to reduced lead times, an expanded product offering and resident support. It’s very exciting.”
Based in Ontario, Canada, Hospeco Brands Group is credited with creating Touch Point® and Certainty® Brands premoistened, non-woven, surface and personal wipes and other hand care products. Through its merge agreement with Hospeco, effective immediately, the company will help improve HBG’s slate of wipe products, while also expanding its North American presence in the wipes market.
Deemed a top provider in Canada for large, pre-moistened disinfecting, sanitizing, personal care and specialty wipes for various surfaces, Certainty Brands’ products are recognized in the United States under the Touch Point brand and are of high quality. The merger with Hospeco will allow Hospeco's customers to access Certainty Brands' top-quality formulations, which are widely recognized in both Canada and the United States. At the same time, it will allow Certainty Brands customers to access Hospeco's range of products for personal care, cleaning and protection, which are suitable for sale in the away-from-home market.
“This is an unpassable opportunity to join with a company that shares our values and culture,” said Mark Harvey, president of Innocore. “Hospeco Brands Group already offers one of the broadest lines of general purpose and application-specific non-woven wiping solutions in the industry, and our merger catapults the organization to another plane. Our customers are going to love the breadth and depth of the broader Hospeco Brands Group product mix.”
