Peet's Coffee, based in California, opened its first-ever Middle Eastern location in Dubai, UAE, a press release reported. The launch was made in collaboration with Americana restaurants. The companies signed an exclusive master franchise deal in 2022.

"We are delighted to launch Peet's in the GCC where the love of coffee is shared by millions of consumers," Amarpal Sandhu, CEO of Americana Restaurants, said. "Peet's devotion to the art and science of brewing the most flavorful cup of coffee is exceptional, and we are excited to expand the brand to new GCC markets this year."

Neighboring The Dubai Mall on Fashion Avenue, the new coffee bar serves as one of the “UAE's premier shopping destinations for locals and visitors and the most visited mall in the world,” a recent press release explains.

“From its birthplace in California, Peet's revolutionized the U.S. coffee industry, pioneering the specialty coffee movement in 1966,” a recent press release stated. “Since then, Peet's has become known for its bold rich flavor and commitment to quality. Peet's chooses the highest quality beans from around the world; then it expertly roasts them in California to exacting standards.”

The coffee has been deemed “100% responsibly sourced” by Enveritas. Since its establishment, Peet's has develop a Discovery Bar offering custom cups, tasting flights and full sensory, experiential courses, as well as a regional dessert menu offering Peet's Baridi Blend Cold Brew, luscious Saffron and Pistachio Milk Cakes and freshly baked pastries.

The launch follows the company’s 2017 introduction in China. It now operates more than 370 coffee bars across the U.S. and China.
